Visible Voice Books opened its doors in 2007 on Kenilworth Avenue and, in 2017, found a new home in the same Tremont Neighborhood but with a Professor Avenue address.

As an independent bookstore, we take pride in being a haven for offbeat ideas; a place to discover art, ideas, authors, and tastes that expand your worldview. Beyond what you’ll find on our shelves, we have over used and antiquarian 40,000 books in our offsite location that are available for purchase online.

In addition to books, we serve a rotating selection of craft brews, red and white wines, and local coffee and tea for our customers to enjoy while they shop. We also have handmade gifts including journals, greeting cards, tote bags, and more. Our location in the heart of Cleveland’s eclectic Tremont neighborhood is a dynamic and inviting space that hosts poetry readings, live music, private parties, wine tastings, and more. 

We’re located on the second floor of the Double Building, which offers a 24-car parking lot for customers. The building also houses neighborhood pizzeria Crust on its first floor and Danny’s on Professor, a bar and late-night hangout spot, on the lower level. Enjoy one of two outdoor patios, offerings from Crust or Danny’s, and a new read – all in one location.
